What is it?
The Chartered College of Teaching is a professional body for all teachers and leaders in 0-19 settings. It’s aim is to raise the status of teaching through it’s mission:
· CELEBRATING Your expertise and commitment to education
· SUPPORTING You to make the best decisions in the classroom
· CONNECTING You with teachers to share practice and expertise
Benefits of joining
As well as helping to raise the status of the teaching profession, members benefit from the cutting edge of research on pedagogy published in the online members’ portal and the award-winning, peer-reviewed journal, Impact (Read some sample articles here), and have access to regular exclusive webinars, networking opportunities and events. Together, these act as ‘on demand’ CPD to enable you to engage with the latest research and insights in teaching and learning.
In addition, there is a dedicated early-career guide, The Profession and opportunities to connect with teachers across the country; influence the direction of the profession and take part in consultations and have your voice heard.
I have found Impact an excellent resource ensuring thought provoking articles which span all subjects and key stages.
